JAMES D. MEADOWS

James Delbert Meadows, 83, of Stanley, died 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 at Page Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient one week.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at Bradley Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Cecil Haycock. Burial was in Tanner's Ridge Cemetery near Stanley.

Mr. Meadows was born Dec. 27, 1885 in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Alexander and Mary Breeden Meadows.

He was a member of the Episcopal Church and a retired carpenter.

His wife, the former Mollie C. Breeden, preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons, Glen M. Meadows, of Washington, D.C. and Ralph E. Meadows of Silver Spring, Md. and two daughters, Mrs. Della V. Jenkins and Mrs. Mable S. Thomas, both of Stanley.
