Emily C. Carlson, age 85, died Tuesday, September 28, 1971 at Tigerton Hospital.

She was born April 10, 1886 in Sweden, the daughter of the late Emil and Charlotte (Kannon) Norrbom.

On October 24, 1906 Emily was united in marriage to A. Edwin Carlson in Wittenberg. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1959.

Survivors include four sons, Roger Carlson, Wittenberg, Arthur (Merna) Carlson, Eland, Norman Carlson, Chicago, IL and John (Karen) Carlson, Elderon; two daughters, Florence (Ted) Wolff, Wittenberg and Edna (Paul) Manta, Chicago, IL; 26 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Adolph, one daughter, one brother, Gust Norrbom and one grandson, Russell Carlson.

Funeral services were held September 30, 1971 at Redeemer Lutheran. The Rev. Rueben Carlson officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
