While seated in a chair at the Hamilton Barber Shop having his hair cut Thursday morning at 9:45 o'clock, DANIEL SOCKS, Leitersburg, suffered a stroke of apoplexy and died within a few minutes. He was 80 years of age.
The following children survive: John, Hagerstown; Daniel, Jr., Leitersburg; Mrs. Ida Shaw, this city; brother, Phillip, in Illinois; sister, Mary Socks, Middleburg.
The body was removed to the undertaking home of Suter & Sons.
The deceased was one of the well known farmers of this county, having resided in this section all his life. For 40 or 50 years he conducted a farm on the Middlesboro Pike. He had recently lived with his son Daniel.
Funeral Sunday afternoon, services at St. Paul's U. B. Church at 2:45, Rev. F. B. Plummer, officiating. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
