Born in Indian Territory; murdered by Pin Indians(Cherokees) at home on the Saginaw; no marriage. Son of Moses & Mahala Fields, Sr. Civil War service, Co D, 2nd Cherokee Mtd.Volunteers,(w/brother, James Sanford Fields),1862, CSA;(later lst Regiment:Col.Stand Watie.); Battle of Pea Ridge.
