Henry S. Hale, 81, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday October 14 at his home at Marydell after an illness of several years. Born in Laurel County on July 19, 1877, the son of Franklin and Cinda Sasser Hale, he was married to Drusilla Gross, who with one daughter and two sons survive. They are Mrs. Ida Pennington, Tuttle; Tilman Hale, Marydell; Delfin Hale, Cane Creek; 9 grandchildren. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Nannie Mae Sasser, London, and one brother, Victor Hale, Cane Creek.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Shady Grove Baptist Church of which he was a member. The Revs. Bill George and George Cole were officiating ministers.
Interment was in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery by the House Funeral Home.
