Murder Victim. Father of the Defeo Family and husband of Louise Defeo. He was murdered, along with the rest of his family, by oldest child Ronald Jr. on the night of November 13, 1974. He was 44 years old. The Defeo Family's Large Dutch Colonial home figured prominately in the "Amityville Horror" book and subsequent movies, which claimed that the house was haunted.
