AUTO MISHAP INJURY TAKES YOUTH’S LIFE

Gerald Schmitting, 18, of Hilbert, died early today of injuries received in an automobile accident at Kaukauna.

He was born Aug. 25, 1950, at Appleton, a son of August and Ida Schmitting.

He graduated from Hilbert High School in 1968, and was employed with the Brillion Iron Works.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ida Schmitting; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Duprey of Hilbeert and two brothers, Lester of Stockbridge and Ralph at home. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Hilbert with Pastor Kenneth J. Weber officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Kapitzke Funeral Home, Hilbert, and at the church from noon Thursday until the time of service.
