William E. Jones Services Pending
William Ellsworth Jones of Florence died while working at the Vaughn Lumber Company in Swisshome on Tuesday, January 29. Cause of death has not been established, but it is thought to have been a coronary attack.
Born in Weeping Water, Nebraska, on March 26, 1902, he had lived in Oregon for fifteen years. He was married to Lillian Gadway in Kearney, Nebraska on August 15, 1922.
He is survived by his wife, six children, Donald W. of Eureka, Calif,; Eleanor Flori of Portland; James Norman of Florence; Robert L., Newport; Bernard D., Eugene; Caroline Bainter, Florence; brothers, Lee Jones, Lexington, Nebraska; Ed Jones, Meridian, Idaho; sisters, Mrs. W. O. Baier, Avoca, Nebraska; Edith Beverage, Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Opal Peer, Caldwell, Idaho and Mrs. Ruth Petty of Bullhead City, Arizona and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Davidson Riverside Chapel, time to be announced later, pending word from members of the family.
