"Jiggs" was dearly loved by all of the family! He was a comedian, devoted husband and father, and a real Christian, who lived his faith on a daily basis, even through great hardships! We all love and miss you Jiggs, but we know that you are celebrating your victory on Heavens shore! We will see you again one day!

Jiggs was born October 22, 1922 in Washington, D.C., the son of Florence Margaret Baugher. He died September 15, 2000, in York, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Anna McInnes Baugher, and three daughters, Nancy Baugher, Janice Zeigler, and Linda Martin. He is also survived by a son-in-law, Ron Zeigler, and two grandchildren, Micah Zeigler and Rebecca Zeigler. In addition, he is survived by aunts, Mabel House and Agnes Louderback; and many cousins.

The funeral service was held Sunday, September 17, 2000, at 3:00 p.m., at the Church of the Open Door. Rev. David E. Sutter was the officiant, and interment was at Greenmount Cemetery.


Ernest "Jiggs" Baugher, 77, York, Pa., died Friday, Sept. 15. 2000, at his home.

Mr. Baugher was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Washington, D.C., and was the son of the late Florence Baugher Wyant. He was raised in Elkton.

He was employed at Penn Dairies and retired from Allied Corporation, where he had worked for 15 years. He was currently a civilian administrative aide for the York City Police Department. Mr. Baugher was a member of the Church of The Open Door, Shiloh and was an active member of the church bowling and golf teams. He was a member of the Hole In One Club, and was an Army veteran of World War II, First Infantry Division, serving in France, Italy and Africa.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Anna B. McInnes Baugher; three daughters, Nancy A. Baugher and Linda J. Martin, both of York, and Janice M. Zeigler, Manchester; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. David E. Sutter will conduct the funeral at 3 p.m. Sunday at Church of The Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, Shiloh, where visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. A private burial will be at Greenmount Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Fund of Church of The Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York, Pa. 17404.

Arrangements are by William E. Little Funeral Home, Inc., Manchester, Pa.
