Elizabeth Ann "Libbie" Hill was born in 1840 to Lorenzo W. Hill and his wife Sally Ann Finch. When she was a child, her family moved to Coxsackie, in Greene County, NY. On January 15, 1862 she was married (at her father's house) to David S. Losee. They had two children: Ella A. (born in 1866) and Irving Hill (born in 1870). They lived in Grapeville, NY where her husband owned a store. Libbie was a devout Baptist, who was well respected by the community. She passed away at an early age due to a massive stroke.
