Faustine Wright Skinner
Sunset MP, Nacogdoches

Faustine Wright Skinner, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2004, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church with the Reverend Gary D. Hill of Christ Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Mrs. Skinner was born November 27, 1915, in Rusk County, Texas to Joseph Hansel and Georgia Pollard Wright. She was a resident of Nacogdoches since 1938 and a former resident of Henderson, Texas. She retired from Southwestern Bell as an operator. Mrs. Skinner was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the King Christ Episcopal.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Skinner; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include a son, William L. "Bill" Skinner and wife, Clara, of Nacogdoches, Texas; a sister, Anita Bradford of Alto, Texas; grandsons, William L. "Sam" Skinner Jr. of Nacogdoches, Texas and Quinton Skinner of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Anna Beth "Missy" Corley of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Renee Skinner of Dallas, Texas; great-grandsons, Corey Skinner, Joey Skinner, Marshall Corley and Roan Corley all of Nacogdoches, Texas; great-granddaughter, Caity Skinner of Nacogdoches, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gary Lee, Al Lee, Billy Clemons, Dale Corley, Trey Branham and John Gayler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Murphy and John Pack Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in her honor be made to the Women's Shelter of East Texas 2723 Durst, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961, or the Christ Episcopal Church Building Fund, 502 E. Starr Ave., Nacogdoches, Texas 75961.

Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m. today.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches, Texas.
