Michael Allen Abts, 53, died June 2, 2000 in Klamath Falls. Cause of death was not given.

Mr. Abts was born in Washington to Aaron and Lois (Allen) Abts.

He moved 42 years ago to Klamath Falls from Aberdeen, Wash., and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1965.

He later graduated from Southern Oregon University with a business degree.

He worked for the state of Oregon and Columbia Plywood for 15 yeas, he sold real estate and, at the time of his death, was a real estate broker.

Mr. Abts was a member of Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the Parish Council for three years, serving as its president for one of those years.

Among his interests were computers, collecting stamps, fishing and family activities

Survivors include his parents, Aaron and Lois Abts of Klamath Falls, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Sandra Abts of Charlevoix, Mich., and J.D. and Lisa Abts of Auburn, Wash., brother, David Abts of Danville, Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Greg Snyder of Hayden Lake, Wash., and Patti and Mike Newell of Klamath Falls; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
