Ruth M. Hobart
Ruth M. Hobart, 60, died Friday May 11, 2001, at Washoe Hospital in Reno, Nev.
She was a resident of Westwood for the past 10 years, before that she was a resident of LeVern, Calif. She was born Sept. 20, 1940, Carndenton, Missouri.
Her passion in life was caring for family. She was employed by Deal & Davie, Inc., in Susanville as the office manager/bookkeeper. She was very active in her church and served as the bookeeper there as well.
She is survived by her sons: James of Atlanta, Ga., and Dan of Westwood; grand-daughters, Jessica, Ashley and Casey; brother, Doral Longacre, of Westwood; sisters, Lola Hatfield of Lemoore, Calif., Bernita Garcia of Hanford, Calif., and Shirley Derieg, formerly of Westwood.
A celebration of her life was held May 14, at the First Baptist Church in Westwood with Pastor Craig Brandt. She was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Covina, Calif., along side her husband who preceded her in 1977.
