MaeDell Anderson (Grandma Annie), resident of Ponca City, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Ponca City Nursing Home. She was 86. She was born on Monday, August 20, 1923 to Leslie Virgle and Abbey Ellen (Baker) McKee in Ripley, OK.
She was raised in Ripley, OK. She married J.W. Anderson on March 1, 1954 in Perry, OK. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
MaeDell (Grandma Annie), enjoyed her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside spending time with her family. She enjoyed riding motorcycles. She enjoyed going to family reunions, reading her cookbooks and traveling. She lived her life taking care of and loving children.
She is survived by her siblings: Minnie Morris of Wichita, KS, Benny McKee of Newton, KS, Bobby McKee of Fairmont, OK, Jake McKee of Ripley, OK, Jerry McKee of Dover, OK, George McKee of San Antonio, TX; children: Mike Anderson of Ponca City, OK, Earla Cox of Wichita, KS, Barbara White of Ponca City, OK, Donald Anderson of Jackson, MI, and Rusty Anderson of Ponca City; Grandchildren: Mechelle Bentley of Ponca City, OK, John Taylor of Ponca City, OK, Charles Taylor of Ponca City, OK, Dwayne White of Ponca City, OK Randy Evans of Ponca City, OK George Atwood of Ponca City, OK, Marilyn Reynolds of Tulsa, OK, Valeeta Snow of Conway, AR, Donald Anderson of Jackson, MI, Jack Anderson of Glorietta, NM, Leslie Anderson of Phoenix, AZ and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. Anderson; siblings: Ida Bell Jones, James McKee, John McKee, Joe McKee, Jack McKee, and Lora McKee; two sons: Jackie Anderson and J.R. Anderson; one daughter Deloris Atwood; one grandson Stephen Taylor; one great great granddaughter MaKayla McCloud; and her parents: Abbie McKee and Leslie McKee.
Casket bearers will be John Taylor, Charles Taylor, Marcus McCloud, Justin McCloud, Brandon Bentley, and Tim Garnica
Honorary Casket bearers will be Stephen Taylor, Tony Taylor, Stanley Danford, and Jack Robbins.
Funeral service held Friday, April 2, 2010 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Larry Hall, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
