Dr. Losee's parents were David S. and Elizabeth "Libbie" (Hill) Losee. As a youth Dr. Losee attended the Starkey Seminary. Later he went on to study at the Philadelphia Dental School, which is now part of Temple University. He
was among the first graduating class of 1892. At first he practiced in Ravena then in Cohoes, but finally he settled
into practice in Albany, NY - where he met his wife Catherine Georgina Mackey, whom he married Feb. 1, 1911 in Catskill, NY. The couple had 2 children: Catherine Mackey & Irving Harold. Dr. Losee was an avid fisherman, hunter, photographer, and violinist. He died at the age of 89, having retired only four days prior to his death.
(Note: The date of death on his gravestone is incorrect! The engraver made an error. The correct date of death is June 9, 1959!)
