Arthur Louis Fleury died at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH on December 15, 2003. He was born in Claremont on August 10, 1928; the son of Eugene and Gladys (Vadney) Fleury.

He attended Claremont schools. He served in the U S Army Air Corps during World War II. In 1946, he founded the Claremont Speedway which remains under the direction of the Fleury family. He worked at Bryant Grinder Corp in Springfield, VT and later as a burner technician at O H Lewis Oil Co of Claremont. Following his retirement in the late 1970's, he worked for many years for his son Dennis at Fleury's Small Engine Repair. He was a New Hampshire registered plumber and electrician. He was a president of the Full Gospel Businessmen. A lifelong Claremont resident, he served as deacon and taught youth Sunday school at the Assembly of God churches in Claremont and Springfield for the past forty five years.

He married June Slack on December 3, 1948 in Claremont.

He was predeceased by three brothers Eugene M "Sonny" Fleury, Charles Fleury, and Kenneth Fleury.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Arthur L "Larry" Fleury Jr and Dennis Fleury of Claremont; one grandson; brother Richard Fleury of Rochester, NH; and four sisters Arlene Denis of Claremont, Mildred Willett of Keene, NH, Josephine Daniels of Newport, NH, and Patricia Dana of Weathersfield, VT.

Burial is in Union Cemetery.
