Mrs. Cleta Kite Ryan Lantz, 70, wife of Alva Lantz, of Charlottesville, died Monday, December 13, at the University of Virginia Hospital.

Born May 24, 1895, at East Point and was a daughter of the late Philip P. and Mittie V. Coffman Kite.

She is survived by her husband, Alva Lantz; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred R. Sprouse, of Charlottesville, and Mrs. Mary Ryan Allen and Mrs. Glenna Margaret White, both of Staunton; three sons, Arthur Leroy Ryan, of Stanley; Garland Elwood Ryan, of Salem; and Charles Edward Ryan, of Elk Ridge, Md. and nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Dovel, of Elkton, and Mrs. Myrtle Wright, of Elizabethtown, Pa., and two brothers, Ernest Kite, of East Point and Earl Kite, of Harrisonburg.

A funeral service was conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Peter’s Evangelical United Brethren Church near Shenandoah, with the Rev. Lewis C. Armentrout, officiating. Burial took place in the church cemetery.
