Peter Suwyn, Sr., age 82, Birnamwood, town of Plover, died Sunday, November 14, 1982 at Sunny Vale Infirmary, Wausau.
He was born June 22, 1900 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Peter and Dena (Hannengen) Suwyn.
On April 23, 1924 Peter was united in marriage to Clara VanProoyen in Wausau. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Frederick, Irma, WI; one daughter, Dena (Robert) Annis, Merrill; three brothers, Henry (Elizabeth) and Isaac (Margaret), both of Birnamwood and John (Erma), Elderon; three sisters, Sarah Manthei, Wausau, Dena (Roy) Hettinga, Schofield and Jennie Hanson, Wausau; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one grandchild, one great-grandchild and one brother.
Funeral services were held November 16, 1982 at New Hope Community Church, town of Easton. The Rev. Ray VanBeek officiated. Interment was in Forestville Cemetery, town of Easton.
