Walter C. Frans 418 South 11th Street died early Saturday at a St. Joseph Hospital where he had been a patient since Friday afternoon.

Born in St. Joseph, he had resided here most of his life.

Mr. Frans, 83, was a retired employee of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co and the advertising department of the The News Press and Gazette

The son of the late W. Henry and Elizabeth Martin Frans, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Frans and J. Broder Frans.

Mr. Frans was a member of First Christian Church.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Mudge, Sierra Madre, Cal; Mrs. H. G. Markworth, Sacramento, Cal and Mrs. E. L. Dillon and Mrs. Harold Knapp, both of St. Joseph; two nieces, a nephew and several great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside services will be tomorrow at 1:30 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. William G. Shoop officiating.

The body is at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman mortuary.

Graveside services for Walter C. Frans, 83, 18 South 11th Street, will be at 1:30 this afternoon at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dr. William G. Shoop will officiate.

Mr. Frans was a St. Joseph native and long time resident. He died Saturday at a local hospital. Survivors include four nieces and four nephews.

Arrangements are through the Meierhoffer-Fleeman mortuary.
