Elisha Nix (b. 1802/03 in North Carolina) married to Matilda Young (b. 1804 in Kentucky). Family moved to Anderson Co. Texas in 1848, but other family members were there prior to that and fought in the War with Mexico. Son Samuel Nix (b. Apr. 20, 1824 in Lawrence Co. KY. (Information from Edith M.
