Born March 24, 1907, in Wood County, Ohio, he came to Michigan as a young man and married the former Kathleen R. Woodrow in 1934 in Manistee. He lived in the Midland area until 1968, when he moved to Prudenville.
He was self-employed as a mason working for various construction companies.
He leaves his wife; son, Harry A. Sweebe Jr. of Midland; daughters, Mrs. Myrna Lee Behmlander, Mrs. Bonnie Lou Frick, Mrs. Alice Faye Miehike, all of Midland, Mrs. Donna Mae Parker of Maumee, Ohio, Mrs. Helen Norine Wittbrodt of Winchester, Ohio, and Mrs. Elizabeth K. Rowe of Stow, Ohio; brother, Claude H. Sweebe and William A. Sweebe Jr., both of Midland; sister, Mrs Helen Norris of fort Wayne, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Ware-Smith Funeral Home, the Rev. Louis I. Koke officiating. Burial will be in Midland Cemetery.
