Albert Walter was a son of Albert G. Dunn and Elizabeth Rainey of Greene County, Alabama.

1880 Goliad Co., TX: A.W. Dunn, 33, AL, deputy sheriff
A.W. married Mary Augusta Seidel, daughter of Robert Seidel and Wilhelmina Thomas, January 18, 1893 in Goliad, Texas. Their only child was Minnie Elizabeth Dunn.
Mary Augusta died June 1, 1885 at the very young age of 19 years leaving Albert with a 2 year old daughter.
The following document was handwritten by Albert. It gives Herman and Sophia Seidel guardianship of his daughter Minnie Elizabeth. (Herman was an uncle of Mary Augusta)
The State of Texas
County of Karnes
Know all men by these presents that I A.W. Dunn of the county of Victoria State aforsaid and in consideration of the love, friendship and confidence I have for and repose in Herman Seidel and his wife Sophia Seidel both of Karnes County Texas and the further consideration of the verbal promises made to me by said Herman and Sophia Seidel have this day release to them all my rights and privileges as parent and maternal guardian of my child Minnie E. Dunn now about 2 years and 10 months of age giving to them the said Herman & Sophia Seidel all the rights and privileges that I as guardian of her person has and confering upon them the same powers of [word illegible] that they would have have [had] if she the said Minnie E. Dunn was their own natural and lawful child.
It is the purpose of this agreement to give my said child to her uncle and aunt the said H. and S. Seidel and to give her said uncle and aunt [word illegible] control of her and to exercise such control continually as long as either of them shall live, and to give them such [word illegible] control over the said child that no one can by law, force, or persuasion takes her from her said uncle & aunt, Herman & Sophia Seidel. And it is my desire that my said child shall live with her uncle and aunt during all their lives or until she becomes of the age of 21 years. And I make this gift to irrevocable - and to be in force from now and forever during my life and after my death.
In testimony, whereof I hear [here] sign my name this the 26th day of Dec 1885. A.W. Dunn.
A.W. was the tax collector for Golad in the mid-1890s.
