Neoma Wallace Braeutigam, 91, of Comanche passed away Friday March 26, 2010. Funeral services, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche, will be held 11 a.m. Monday March 29th at Heartland Chapel with Revs. James Wallace and Keg Gibson officiating; pallbearers will be the Deacons of Sidney Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Sipe Springs Cemetery in Sipe Springs. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. before the funeral service.

Mrs. Braeutigam was born September 1, 1918, in Sipe Springs, Comanche County, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Robert Tilden and Mary Alice (Foster) Wallace.
She married Shelton Ernst Braeutigam, November 13, 1960, in the country home of Henry and Lena Drennan. Neoma and Shelton farmed and ranched in the Sipe Springs area before moving to Comanche in 1992. Mr. Braeutigam passed away June 25, 1995.
Neoma was homemaker, very active in the community and civic affairs. She was secretary if the Sipe Springs Cemetery Association for 35 years, also the Stag Creek Community Club before it disbanded. She was an active member if the Sidney Baptist Church, where she taught the Primary Class at one time.

Neoma was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. She is survived by 9 nephews and 2 nieces, and loved by all that knew her.
