~David Alexander Nunn, Jr. was born 1868 in Houston county, Texas.
Son of David Alexander and Helen Williams Nunn.
He was educated at the U.S. Military Academy and the University of Texas.
He practiced law in Crockett, in continuation of the practice started by his father in 1858, until his death in 1953. "Mister Dave" was, for many years an active leader of the local citizenry on state and national matters. he was dedicated to the improvement of the highway system and the control and development of the Trinity river.
He lived in the family mansion on Houston Avenue, as a bachelor with his sister, a widow, Mrs. Corine Nunn Corry.
They were the only remaining children of David Alexander and Helen Williams Nunn.
The old mansion on Houston Avenue was demolished in 1960.
