Miss Kathryn E. Hassell, 62, died Friday night in The Crockett Clinic. She lived at 711 San Jacinto Street, a lifelong resident of Houston County and a teacher in the Crockett Elementary School.

Miss Hassell was a member of the Baptist Church, the Ruth Sunday School Class and the Delta Kappa Gamma. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the First Baptist Church, Rev. A. S. Lee and Rev. E. P. Ramsey officiating.

Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. George Straughan of Crockett. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
