Regina Mary Deters was born August 25, 1903 at Epiphany, South Dakota, the daughter of Anthony and Ann (Koppert) Deters.
She was married to Herman Klunder February 11, 1926 in Bridgewater. She lived around Bridgewater all her life. Her husband Herman died on May 17, 1946.
She was housekeeper for the Heiberger brothers for over 30 years and was a member of St. Stephen Christian Mothers.
Among her survivors are: daughter-in-law Virginia Klunder; five grandchildren: Kathy Culver of Spearfish, South Dakota, Karla Brist of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ken Klunder of Palmer, Alaska, Kevin Klunder of Black Hawk, South Dakota; ten great grandchildren; two sisters: Marie Hunt of Bridgewater, South Dakota and Francis Petree of Montrose, South Dakota; two brothers: Ed Deters of Salem and Joseph Deters of Hartford, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Leland, two brothers and two sisters. Service held at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Tuesday, April 27, 1999 at 10:30 A.M., Father Paul Offerman, Interment at Bridgewater City Cemetery.
