Jan 21, 1834 - appeared Paul Barlet a resident of Ruscombmanor, Berks Co., Pa., aged 76 and upwards.
He was drafted during the Revolutionary War as a private in
Captain Daniel DeTurk's Company of Penna. Militia. The other officers were Lieuts. Abraham Kissinger and Solomon Matthias. The Company assembled in Maidencreek Township from whence they marched through Allentown, Easton, and New Brunswick to Amboy where after serving 2 months he was discharged. At the time of being drafted, resided in Alsace Township, Cannot recollect

Afterwards drafted during said war and served as a private in Captain John Rightmeyer's Company of Penna. Militia for 2 months. The Company assembled in Reading, marched through Philadelphia to Brandywine were present at Battle, but no engaged in it. Marched to Germantown and from thence back to Reading and discharged. Regiment of Colonel Daniel Udree, During time of this service resided in
Again drafted and served as a private in Captain Nicholas Shaffer's Company of Penna. Militia for 2 months. Officers were Lieuts. Abraham Huy and Jacob Stein, Ensign John Liiey. He was still a resident of Maidencreek Township. The Company assembled in said Township at the tavern now occupied by John Bechtel. Marched to Phila, to Newtown, Bucks County and discharged.
