Catherine was my grandmother.
She was the fourth child of
James Adam Mackey & his wife
Charlotte Jane Forrester. Her
early childhood was spent in NYC
where the family lived on Perry
Street. After her grandfather
James Governor Mackey's death,
the family moved to Mackey
Corners in Schoharie County, NY
where her father took over his
father's farm. After her father
died in 1909, she, her sister
Mary, and her mother all moved
to Albany. There she met my
grandfather, Irving Hill Losee,
DDS. They were married in
Catskill, NY on 2/1/1911. The
couple had two children:
Catherine (bn 1912) and Irving
Harold (bn 1916) who is my
father. Irving, sr. died in
1959. Catherine remained in
Albany until her death in 1970.
