Edward Boyer grew up in Troy, New York. In 1945, he married Bernice Schierbecker in Centralia, Illinois. Edward taught school and had various other jobs. He worked for the University of Chicago. He passed away in 1971. He and Bernice had two children, Chris and Tim.
