Killed in a accident on I-65 northbound when a tractor trailer traveling south crossed over the median and hit the van head on.

Obituary: Leroy Stoltzfus Esh, 41, of the Marrowbone community in Cumberland Co., KY., passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 in Hart Co., KY. as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on Thursday, September 12, 1968 in Lancaster Co., PA., the son of John Smucker and Sadie Stoltzfus Esh. He was a member of the Marrowbone Christian Brotherhood Church and a master carpenter woring at Esh's Outdoor Buildings in Marrowbone. He was preceded in death by a brother, John S. "Johnny" Esh, Jr. He died in the accident with his wife and son, Naomi Peight Esh and Jalen Bradley Esh, parents John S. Esh, Sr. and Sadie Stoltzfus Esh, his sisters Rose, Anna and Rachel Esh, and his sister's fiance Joel Mark Gingerich.

Survivors include his children Johnny Esh and Josiah Esh of Marrowbone, siblings Betty Esh of Marrowbone, Elmer (and Roseanna) Esh of Marrowbone, Benuel (and Eva) Esh of South Dakota, Alvin (and Ann Marie) Esh of South Dakota, Abner Esh of Brazil, Verna (and Emanuel) Kreider of Grandview, TX., Amos (and Mary) Esh of Marrowbone, father-in-law and mother-in-law Ezra and Leah Kanagy Peight of PA.

Joint funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Carhartt Building in Marrowbone with Bro. Leroy Kauffman and Bro. Urie Kanagy officiating. Obituaries read by Melvin Kauffman and Ervin Kauffman. Burial was in the Marrowbone Christian Brotherhood Cemetery beside the church. Pallbearers were Ike Yoder, Enos, Yoder, Sam Yoder, Melvin Kauffman, Emanuel and Floyd Garver.
