Stephen P. Anderson
Stephen Paul Anderson, 47, Brainerd, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at his home in Brainerd. He was born July 26, 1960, in Brainerd to Dean and Elizabeth (Haster) Anderson. He was a Boy Scout for many years and a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd. He attended Brainerd Vo-Tech and was employed at Productive Alternatives in Fergus Falls for about 15 years.

Steve loved people and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed riding his bike all over the community visiting his many friends. He also enjoyed bowling and going out to eat. He was a volunteer bell-ringer for the Salvation Army. He studied his Bible daily and shared his deep faith with those around him.

He was loved and will be missed by his mother, Elizabeth; his sister, Carol (Don) Buckhout, North St. Paul; his brothers, Dale (Karen), Gladstone, Mo., and Mark (Judi), Prairie du Chien, Wis.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He also loved and was loved by his staff and housemates at Oakridge Homes in Brainerd where he lived for the past two years.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd with Pastor Leonard Phelps officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Brainerd, Minn., and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
