Willard was born to William David and Sarah Alice Darenda (Landrum) Forsythe. He and his wife Ella Roberta Franklin raised 6 boys to maturity. Richard, Kenneth, Robert, Raymond, Willie (Bill), and Peyton. He was a Methodist preacher. He and his wife were both killed in a car-truck accident just a mile from their home. They had a double funeral and burial on Feb. 14, 1982, Valentines Day. They are greatly mourned by their sons, daughter-in-laws, and grandchildren.
