Ross "Mel" Bailey, 75, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mr. Bailey was born June 26, 1934, in Denison to Ross Mikels Bailey and Audrie Lovena Gentry Bailey. He married Gwendolyn Margaret Perryman on Oct. 17, 1959, in Weatherford. Ross retired in 1995 from Hewlett Packard, where he was manager of the training center, and moved to DeCordova to play golf and enjoy his retirement.
Survivors: Wife, Gwendolyn Bailey; brother and sister whom raised as his children, Joe Reed Mullens and Judy Hallowell, both of Granbury; grandsons, Larry Ross Brown and Steven M. Brown; granddaughter, Amber Hallowell; great-granddaughters, Nataleigh Brown, Payton Brown; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Junior Perryman; and many personal friends and golfing buddies who brought many laughs and smiles to his life.
