She was born in Glasgow, Scotland the eldest daughter of James & Jean Nicholson Hall. She married Edward McCualsky in 1841, Campbeltown, Scotland. After her husband's death in 1874 she emigrated to USA in 1882 and settled at Belpre, OH where she remained the rest of her life.
