Rentz, Doreen Beverly Of St. Paul Passed away August 4, 2008 Doreen B. Rentz, was born Sept. 3, 1927 at Thief River Falls, MN to Reuben and Hazel (Davidson) Lee. Hazel later married Oscar Christenson and Doreen was raised in the Christenson household. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Newfolden High School in 1944. She attended the University of Minnesota for two years. For more than 25 years she worked for two scientific Societies in the St. Paul area. Later she was employed at Macalester College in St. Paul, retiring in 1990. In retirement Doreen spent her time working on family history and related matters. Doreen was married to John H. Rentz from Mankato in 1958. She is survived by her husband, John, two sisters, two brothers and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato, August 8, at 2PM. Visitation will be at the church at 1PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Grace Lutheran Church or your favorite charity.
