Helen Lucille Miller, 93, of Gorin, Missouri passed away at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL, on Monday afternoon, November 30, 2009.

The daughter of Troy and Zella Parrish Arehart she was born on June 25, 1916 in Gorin, Missouri.

She married Phillip Clement "Johnny" Miller on February 28, 1935, in Wyaconda, Missouri.

To this union, one son was born, Donald Lee Miller, on October 28th, 1947 in Gorin, Missouri.

Helen, Johnny and Donald have been life long residents of Gorin, Missouri.

Helen loved to be outside working in her garden and visiting with friends and family. Family and longtime friends meant a great deal to her.

Helen is survived by one son, Donald Lee Miller and fiancé Judy Littleton of Gorin, Missouri; three grandchildren, Melanie Morgret and husband Justin Morgret of Columbia, Missouri, Ryan Miller and wife Jessica Miller of Gorin, Missouri, and Andrea Blake and husband Martin Blake of Edina, Missouri; and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Arehart of Manhattan, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews along with several step-family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and twin granddaughters, Michelle and Monica Miller.

Funeral services were held at the Payne Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 4, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. with Leon Buford officiating. Interment followed in the Gorin Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenny Clatt, Leon Shaw, Justin Morgret, Charlie Adams, Mark Schlesing and Ronnie Peterson.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis.
