Code Talker, discharged in 1945, awarded the Purple Heart (2), DOB July 1, 1922 in Comanche County OK, radioman for the 4th Infantry Division Assistant Commander, Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt Jr, send first coded message after landing on Utah Beach, was twice-wounded the second time he almost bled to death as it took medics almost 2 hours to find him, wounded in the lungs, head and arm from an air burst but returned to his unit toward war's end, was a Disabled American Veteran
