SERVICES HELD TUESDAY AT TULARE FOR MRS. ROBERT SCHWICHTENBERG

Mrs. Robert C. Schwichtenberg, 74, rural Tulare, died Saturday, June 29. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Redfield, of which she was a member. The Rev. Gerald Staehling officiated, and Coleman Thelen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Tulare Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were Wilfred Thompson, Delwin Hardie, Milton Becker, Alvin Hardie, Fred Case and Ralph Hardie.

Lillian Rose, daughter of Jacob and Lena Hardie, was born August 10, 1899, in Exline Township near Zell. She was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Redfield, at age 15. After her marriage, March 30, 1921, she and her husband moved to the Schwichtenberg homestead in Tulare Township, where she resided until her death.

She served as president of church circles; secretary of U. C. T. Ladies Auxiliary No. 14, Redfield Council; past grand counselor, South Dakota U. C. T.; and was president of COmmunity Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Redfield, at the time of her death. Mrs. Schwichtenberg was a 50 year member of Loyal Workers Extension Club, Crandon area; a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 75 L. E. A. and Canton, Redfield and Gray Ladies.

Survivors include her husband' two sons. Duane, Lakeland, FLorida, and Daryl, Flagstaff, Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Wallace (Doreen) Arneson, Aberdeen; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Albert, Clear Lake; Ernest and Edwin, both of Redfield; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Lena) Thompson and Mrs. Ernest (Clara) Schmidt, both of Redfield; and Mrs. John (Freida) Becker, Miller.

Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant daughter, eight brothers and a sister.
