Ernestine Lee Moore Marsh was born October 22, 1922 in Ludowici, Long County, Georgia. Her parents were Clydle McClelland Moore and Whiteford S. Moore, Sr. She had one younger brother, Whiteford S. Moore, Jr. She was especially close to her first cousin, Kathleen Bell Neely. Ernestine and Kathleen's mothers were sisters. Growing up, the cousins spent part of the summer on the Moores' farm in Ludowici, Georgia and part of the summer in the city at the Bells' home in Savannah, Georgia. Ernestine had a great sense of fashion.
Ernestine's husband was Edward James Marsh, and they had two surviving children, James Edward Marsh and Tanya Marsh. Because her husband was in the military, the family moved often to various parts of the country, finally settling in Florida. She and her husband both died in 2000 in Florida, she on June 24.
