Grace Lee Mattingly, 85, of Bardstown, died Monday, Dec. 21 at Flaget Memorial Hospital after an illness. She was a retired employee of Barton Distillery, the widow of Sam F. Mattingly, and a member of the Bardstown Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Bill and Sam Mattingly of Bardstown, and a daughter, Thelma Lyvers of Lexington; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Private graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylor County, officiated by the Rev. Kit Yeaste, pastor of the Bardstown Baptist Church. Northside-Proffitt Funeral Home was in charge of services.
