Mrs. Macil Asher Rites Wednesday, Quincy Church
Mrs. Macil Asher, 70 years old, of Quincy died Sunday, March 19, in the Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. She had been a patient in the hospital and critically ill the past three weeks.
She was born December 3, 1896 in Owen County, the daughter of Alexander Murphy and Hattie Mc-Dowell Murphy.
Mrs. Asher was married to Ollie Asher who preceded her in death December 4, 1962.
She was a member of the Methodist Church at Quincy and Quincy Chapter No. 298, Order Of The Eastern Star.
Survivors are three sons, Robert Martin, Quincy, William Martin, Indianapolis, and Leon Martin, Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Cummings, Indianapolis, Gretchen Wayland, Spencer; a brother, Mildred Mannan, Quincy; a brother, Ernest Murphy, Gosport, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church at Quincy with the Rev. Laurence Coles officiating.
Interment was in the Mannan
