Paul W. Robertson, Jr., 84, of Bradford, was a son of the late Paul W. and Bernadine (Johnson) Robertson, Sr. On October 15, 1949, in Bradford he married Edith (Gilbert) Robertson who survives.
He was a 1943 graduate of Bradford High School. On June 22 1943, he enlisted in the US Army Air Corp. and served during WW II. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, the World War II Victory Medal and was honorably discharged on January 8, 1946. He was employed at Dresser Manufacturing as a welder, retiring after 43 yeas of service.
He was a member of the Flying Tigers 14th Air Force Association, the American Legion, National Rifle Assoc., McKean Co. Rifle Club, Bradford Pistol Club, Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association, the McKean County Motor Club, and the Bradford Moose Lodge. Mr. Robertson attended the First United Methodist Church as well as the Hilltop Baptist Church. Mr. Robertson loved reading military history, and making lead soldiers and airplane models. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the hills of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by a son; William P. Robertson, and a brother, Dick Robertson, one granddaughter; Julia Giamanco and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jill M. Bressan who died January 18th, 2009 and a sister; Jane Gordon. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
