Kevin J. Doeden, 43, Lake Wilson, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005 at the Pipestone County Medical Center, Pipestone.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Lake Wilson, with Rev. Gwen Bohlke officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mike and Mark Haupert, Randy DeGreeff, Randy Vancura, Don Douma and Danny DeGreeff. Honorary pallbearers were Rick Manderscheid, Daniel Haupert and Ron Einck.
Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson.
Kevin James Doeden was born on Feb. 19, 1962 at Slayton to Harris and Jennie Gronewold Doeden.
He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Chandler-Lake Wilson High School in 1980. He farmed with his father.
He was married in 1981 and had a son, Anthony in 1984. Kevin continued to live north of Lake Wilson.
He married Sandy Jurrens, his life partner of 16 years, on June 26, 2004 at their home. He farmed until 2003 when he retired due to failing health.
Kevin underwent a liver-kidney transplant at the University of Minnesota on Nov. 8, 2004.
He was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church in Lake Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, Lake Wilson; one son. Tony (Darcey) Doeden, Waite Park; his mother, Jennie Doeden, Lake Wilson; mother and father-in-law, Harold and Faye Jurrens, Lake Wilson; three brothers and two sisters, Doug (Arlis) Doeden, Groton, S.D., Harris (Linda) Doeden, Minneapolis, Pat (Bob) Idziorek, Monticello, Peggy (Harvey) Erstad, Burnsville and Keith (Vicki) Doeden, Lake Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his father.
