We regret to announce the sad and sudden death of Mrs. Ritter, the wife of Mr. Mack Ritter, which occurred at her home near Auburn the night of the 17th inst. She had been in her usual good health and while at home with her family the summons came without warning and she was ushered into the realms beyond. The deceased was for many years a resident of Lee county, coming to Mississippi from Alabama. In all the years she has lived in the county, she has been honored and respected by her neighbors who always found in tier a woman of kind heart, ready to respond to every call upon her for good and charitable deeds. She was known far and wide as a devout Christian and exerted a splendid influence wherever she lived. As a wife and mother she was Kind, affectionate and devoted to the interest of her husband and children. As a neighbor she was accommodating and generous and ministered to the sick and needy, and the neighborhood in which she lived will greatly miss her. She was burled at Spring Hill cemetery on Wednesday, evening, the services being conducted by Rev. Joseph Raper, a large crowd being present to pay tribute to the memory of their departed friend. To the bereaved we extend sympathy.
