Walter T. Doheny, 80, of 608 5th Ave. N.W., a retired farmer, died Saturday at a local hospital of natural causes.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Doheny of Great Falls sons Jerry Mills of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mike Mills and Hollis "Tuffy" Mills of Billings sisters Irene Williams of Wenatchee, Wash., Edna Mae Garrick of Missoula and Grace Paul of Lolo 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Mills, in 1992 his parents, Thomas and Mabel (Drake) Doheny two brothers and three sisters.
He was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Great Falls. He farmed northeast of Dutton on his parents' homestead and worked for a short time during World War II as a welder at Bremerton, Wash. He married Pearl (Ingebretson) Mills on Oct. 21, 1950, in Big Sandy.
His passion was the Knights of Columbus and the many functions he was involved in. He was a devoted husband to Pearl, and he was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He loved history, reading and hunting.
Services in St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial in Mount Olivet cemetery.
