Pearl I. (Ingebretson) Doheny, 89, a homemaker, formerly of Great Falls, died of natural causes on Sunday, at a Billings care facility.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Mills of Bakersfield, Calif., Hollis "Tuffy" (Jean) Mills and Mike (Terry) Mills, all of Billings; a sister, Angie Myette of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walt Doheny; a daughter, Sharon Mills; two sisters, Babe Eggers and Viola Leland; and three brothers.
Pearl was born April 20, 1916, in Waubay, S.D., to Albert and Bertha (Brennan) Ingebretson. The family homesteaded outside of Big Sandy. Pearl received her education at Big Sandy, graduating from Big Sandy High School. During World War II she was one of the "Rosie the Riveters" in Washington. Pearl worked as a waitress prior to her marriage to Walter Doheny on Oct. 21, 1950. She worked with Walt on the family farm for many years and was a great cook.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Knights of Columbus and Great Falls Flower Growers, and was active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Great Falls.
She enjoyed flowers, especially roses, and loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services at St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial in Mount Olivet cemetery.
