Vincenzina Maria "Tinnie" Aiello was born 16 Oct 1914 in Highlandtown, Baltimore City, MD, the fifth of eleven children born to Francesco Aiello and Maria Antonia Teresa Caterina Romano. Her birth certificate lists her name as "Cherry Aiello".

She married Joseph David DiPietro on 26 Nov 1933 at Our Lady of Pompei RCC, Baltimore City, MD, the son of Gaetano and Annarella DiPietro.

Joe and Tinnie had two children: Carl David and Kathleen Ann.

She died on 19 Feb 1997 in Ormond Beach, Broward Co, FL, aged 82y 04m 03d.

Memorial services for Vincenzina DiPietro, 82, Ormond Beach, who died Wednesday, February 19, 1997, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Epiphany Catholic Church, Port Orange. A reception will follow at Epiphany Church Center. Internment will be private. Mrs. DiPietro was born in Baltimore, Md., and moved to Ormond Beach 20 years ago. She was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church, TOPS, the Maryland Club, the Italian-American Club, the Riverwood Club and Our Lady of Pompeii & Shrine of the Little Flower. She will be remembered for her kindness, energy, positive attitude and fun-loving ways. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph; son Carl DiPietro and his wife Audrey, Bethesda, Md.; daughter Kathleen Moran, Ormond Beach; brothers, Joseph Aiello, Fairfield Glade, Tenn., Louis Aiello, Cliffside Park, N.J.; grandchildren, David DiPietro, Laurel, Md., Michael Moran, Waukesha, Wis., Kellie Moran, Anchorage, Alaska, Margaret McCabe and Shawn Moran, Chicago, Ill.; and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tina DiPietro Scholarship Fund, Epiphany Catholic Church, 201 Lafayette St., Port Orange, FL 32127. Bellevue-Cedar Hill Funeral Home is in charge.

Vincenzina "Tina" DiPietro, the sister-in-law of former 1st District City Councilman Dominic "Mimi" DiPietro, died Feb. 19 at her home in Port Orange, Fla. She was 82.

Born Vincenzina Aiello in Baltimore, she grew up in Highlandtown, where she owned and operated a hair salon for several years. She was a former member of Our Lady of Pompei Roman Catholic Church.

In 1933, she married Joseph DiPietro, who worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 42 years. The couple retired to Florida about 20 years ago.

In recent years, Mrs. DiPietro was an active member of Epiphany Roman Catholic Church and the Italian/American Club.

A memorial Mass was offered yesterday at Epiphany Roman Catholic Church in Port Orange, Fla. Burial was private.

Dominic "Mimi" DiPietro, who represented the 1st District from 1969 to 1991, died in August 1994 at age 89.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. DiPietro is survived by a son, Carl DiPietro of Bethesda; a daughter, Kathleen Moran of Ormond Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph Aiello of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., and Louis Aiello of Cliffside Park, N.J.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
