HE WAS AN HONORED ALBANY MASON.
John Enders Voorhees, one of the most
prominent residents of Amsterdam, died
there on Wednesday, after a lingering illness.
He was president of the Farmers'
National bank of Amsterdam; a member of
the Greene Knitting company, president of
the Edison Electric light company and the
manufacturers' paper box company. He
leaves a wife and daughter. Mr. Voorhees
was a prominent mason and a member of
Dewitt Clinton council, No. 22, of Albany;
Temple commandery, No. 2, of Albany,
and also the Albany sovereign consistory.
Bis estate is valued at over 6100,000. The
funeral will take place on Saturday afternoon
from his late home.
