ANDREW CORCORAN JR., MASTER DISTILLER, DIES
Andrew J. Corcoran Jr., 45, master distiller and plant superintendent of Stitzel-Weller Distillery since 1953, died at 12:05 p.m. yesterday [February 22, 1958] at Norton Memorial Infirmary. He lived at 3302 Natchez Lane. A native of Louisville, Corcoran graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1931. He worked in Baltimore, MD, and Owensboro, KY, before joining Stitzel-Weller in 1942. Both his grandfather, James Wathen, and his father, A.J. Corcoran were master distillers. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Mattingly Corcoran; a daughter, Miriam Corcoran; a son, Andrew J. Corcoran III; a brother, W. Richard Corcoran, Phoenix, AZ; and two sisters, Mrs. James A. Crelly, Rochester, NY, and Sister Mary Andrea, a teacher at Presentation Academy. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Holy Spirit Church, of which Corcoran was a member. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Crelly, Rochester, NY, and Sister Mary Andrea, SCN; nephew of Miss Mary & Miss Helen Corcoran. Mr. Corcoran is at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Rd. Funeral Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Holy Spirit Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. The rosary service will be held by member of the Holy Name Society Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock.
