William F. Mooney of Medford passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010. He was 88.
Born in Philadelphia, he had resided in Medford for the past three years, moving there from Blackwood and Wildwood Crest, N.J.
He was a lifetime educator who taught at the Lower Township Middle School in Cape May Court House, and in Philadelphia.
He was a graduate of West Catholic High School and Temple University in Philadelphia.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
He also was a longtime member of the Assumption Church in Wildwood Crest, N.J.
He was the beloved twin brother of Joseph M. Mooney of Medford, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John "Bud" Mooney, and the late Mary Meakim.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mount Holly Road, Medford. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Saint Mary of the Lakes Church, Medford. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests memorial donations to Saint Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ 08055.
